Who We Are
Gamecock-NIL was established in the spring of 2022 to help facilitate NIL opportunities for Gamecock athletes. It is a stand-alone entity, separate from the university, which exists to serve the student-athletes of Jax State. Gamecock-NIL is a catalyst in securing, monitoring, and providing proof of completion for NIL agreements entered into by the athletes.
A Note From Coach Rich Rodriguez
As a fan and supporter of Jax State, you are no doubt aware of the massive changes impacting the world of intercollegiate sports. In particular, the system in place allowing student-athletes to monetize their Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL). Since its approval, the NIL marketplace has taken off like few expected. The creation of stand-alone commercial entities that are independent of a university but are committed to serving the studentathletes of a university by cultivating, arranging, and facilitating NIL opportunities are being utilized to assist the athletes. In other words, these commercial entities are doing for the student-athletes what the institutions themselves are prohibited from doing. It is a new and different world of intercollegiate athletics. As we move to a higher level of competition with our membership in Conference-USA, it is imperative for our student-athletes to have NIL opportunities. Your involvement with Gamecock-NIL is paramount for us to continue Jax State's championship tradition. I sincerely appreciate your support and look forward to our future.
